Hotfix for msi.dll hang on Windows Vista and Server 2008

Microsoft has released a hotfix for Windows Installer 4.5 to fix a problem where msi.dll might stop responding when trying to install some software. The hotfix only applies to MSI 4.5 on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (all service pack levels)...
