Quick Update
The Northwest Ohio .NET User Group (nwnug) now has a new look and feel for its web site. Jason Follas has really been a great help in getting it up and running. Kudos to Jason on the new site running DasBlog. Also, a big thanks to Aaron Meyers who is our webmaster and got us up and running with DotNetNuke for a few years.
We had a really good meeting last night with Dave White, formerly of Microsoft, now running his own company doing some cool stuff with device development. The presentation was great- he summed up how just about anyone can get moving forward with the compact framework. One cool way to get in to it would be purchasing an MSN TV box and hacking around with that. Apparently you can get them off e-bay for cheap. I may give it a shot one of these days.
Some other exciting news.. Don't forget about the Day of .NET. Registration is open, it's a totally free event scheduled for May 13th (a Saturday) in Ann Arbor. I will be presenting on Atlas and ASP.NET. Regional speakers include: Aydin Akcasu, Nino Benvenuti, Dustin Campbell, Jason Follas, Dave Giard, Charles Stacy Harris III, Darrell Hawley, Jim Holmes, Josh Holmes, John Hopkins, Greg Huber, Paul Kimmel, Alex Lowe, Drew Robbins, Martin Shoemaker, and Bill Wagner. Several of these speakers are MVP's, on the INETA board, book authors, etc. Not bad for a free event!!
