I may be getting a new theme.

Ive talked to some people, and I may be getting a new theme for this blog.  It will be more Xbox360 oriented.  I have to first see if I can get it, then I have to talk to Susan, and possibly photoshop some of the images to make them more Gerlach-centric.

Heres to it going through!

Xbox360 Updated!

I am late, but better late than never.

The Xbox360 was updated yesterday.

Xbox.com Has Info

Did you delete/lost your Hexic? Heres how to get it back!

Ok, so on the forums we have found that some users have either deleted their Hexic HD game (free on the HDD), or have reformatted the HDD.  Well, Microsoft has come up with a solution.  You may say "why did it take so long", but theres a bunch of stuff that had to happen and be passed before it could happen.

Ok, so call support at 1800-4MY-XBOX, and tell support the situation.  Tell them you would like to recover Hexic HD.  They will ask you for information.  They will then give you a call back, with a code to download Hexic HD.

EACH CODE IS XBOX360 SPECIFIC, SHARING THE CODE WONT WORK!!

So, what is the best blond joke ever found?

You can read it here.

Dont get it?  Its explained.

New way to generate your gamercard!

Well, there is a new way to generate your gamercard.  Thanks to user <placeholder> for providing the link!

I think this one is defintly the coolest.

Its not neccessarily the games that make online gaming better...

Its the fact that you can game with good people.  I have been an Xbox Live subscriber since March 9th 2002 (Coming up on my....4th renewal).  Wow, that seems so much longer.

What has made me stay?  The community!  You meet good people to play games with.  No screamers, no cheaters...just gaming, and fun at that.

So, my word of advice?  Find a good community to play with, and stay with them.

Do You Stream HD Content to your Xbox360, over wireless?

Kevin Tofel, of HDbeat.com, ran a story around the time of the Xbox360 launch in which he was experimenting on how to stream HD content to his Xbox360.  So, he has succeeded at about a 95% reliability with the 802.11a connection (802.11g didnt fair too well).

So, this time around Kevin has produced a great follow up to the story.  Give it a read, its good.

Streaming Wireless HD Content to the Xbox360.

We have a smart community!

Now, Joystiq compared the sound of the Xbox360 to an old fridge.  Yes, you do hear sound and many people think it is due to the fans inside...but, discussing this with others, we've come to the conclusion that is it NOT the fans, but it is a DVD spinning in the drive.

Well, a smart community user brought this to the attention of the community.

I believe this theory.  I do not have any data to confirm/deny this, as this is my thought, and not based on any information given privately.

VH1s top 20 Internet Movies

Has anyone else seen this show?

Has anyone else, on almost any show, seen atleast 10 of the 20 videos atleast a month or 2 ago?  I feel like they need to catch up with the times.

Good try VH1, and it is a good step...just gotta be a little qicker.

Teamxbox.com's Top 10 Most wanted Unannounced games

Nice list...things I would love to see.  I agree with them on about 8 out of the 10.

**I do not have any info on any of these games***

Yahoo and Linksys release hardware to stream music to your stereo.

You could get that for a $100...but for a little more (ok, so like 3-400 more) you get an Xbox 360.  The Xbox 360 can be an audio receiver to your home threater, a Media Center Extender (that DOES send HD signals, even over wireless) and an amazing game machine (ie, the Xbox360).  Weigh them both out, and the Xbox360 wins.

Michael Vick: "Virginia Tech over reacted".

So...who wants to tell Mike here, that VT did exactly what they needed to do?  Maybe I will.

Ok, well Mike, first we have your brother is actual LEGAL trouble.  The team gave him a break there, let him recover from everything, and let him back on the team (I actually think they did better WITHOUT him, I believe they were ACC champs).  So...now, we go into the bowl game, and he stomps on a players leg...with cleats, none-the-less.  But emotions over come us right?  Ok...you were jsut tackled (like EVERY OTHER FOOTBALL PLAYER)...but, I havent seem ANYONE else stomp on someone's leg.

So, VT kicked him off the team, and he goes pro.  A team is bound to take a chance on him...maybe he will be like his brother.  The team will probably sign him for like a 4-5 yr contract at a couple of million per year.

BUT, wait there is more!  He is then charged with 3 accounts of brandishing a firearm!

Michael, they did not over react.  They made the right call before anything else happen, conducted by Marcus, to embarress the university.

Music to my ears!

Don Patterson has some good info...its pretty much music to my ears now.  He talks about how Google, Sun and others are coming together to fight spyware.  That is VERy good for a consumer/product user to hear.

Now only if Google with start working on Blog Piracy.  The blog pirates, most times, use Google's own AdSense to generate money to keep the site up.

Disney Purchases Pixar!

Was reading The Apple Blog tonight, and saw the story about Disney and Pixar.  Reuters reports that Disney purchased Pixar for $7.4 billion in an all-stock exchange.  Appleblog went on to say:

"Fortunately, it looks like the top honchos from Pixar, including Steve Jobs, are now controlling the animation department and the entire company, and the previous leaders of Disney Animation have been moved or fired."

Wow, this is huge.

So is DVD-9 large enough for next generation?

Many people think Sony will win because of the Blu-ray drive (yea...so it will be the most inexpensive way to get blu-ray into the house, at the time), but many may make this accusation without the correct data.  Microsoft has taken flak for using the current gen DVD-9, but Games First has a nice little right up showing, that if the trend continues, the Xbox360 will be perfectly fine with DVD-9.

MotoGP preseason starts Monday!

It will be the first time that the riders will be able to test their new 2006 machines, after the 2 month mandatory break.  MotoGP.com has a story on the preseason at Sepang (Malaysia).

Now, in article, it talks about the watching the development of the new rookies, who will ride 990cc bikes for the first time this year.  (Most came from the 250cc class).  Now...being the move to the 800cc engines for 2007, wouldn't you want your rookie (although handicapped due to lack of power) to ride the 800cc, to get an even bigger head start next year?  Maybe I am just dumb with all of it.  Maybe Pedrosa will be able to adapt to 2 different bikes, in 2 seasons.  He did it when he came off the 125cc championship, to win the 250cc the next year.

Time shall tell.

Do you need Windows Vista?
Robert Scoble says he does, and I agree.  Not only am I a fan of the new UI, but that (windows key+tab) feature is amazing.  It has amazed everyone who I have shown.  But anyways, Robert has a little internal email discussion with a few people and actually listed some videos of new features that are making their premiere on Vista. (Note, Robert says he hasnt recorded video with some of the other teams, including security).
