.NET 2.0 beta 2 (There is .NET without VS.NET)

Considering the fanfare with which VS.NET 2005 is being heralded, you would think that you cannot do any .NET development without this baddest looking, awesome, memory guzzling tanker of an IDE. OK, I exaggerated a bit. I am including the team system stuff as well. Anyway, I wanted to point out to others who just want to play with generics et al. that dont really need the IDE only features, but want to type in good ol' text editor and check out stuff, that you can still download .NET 2.0 from MS site without being an architect paying a gazillion $ for MSDN subscriptions. Ok, I exaggerated again. It is not that expensive and if you are an ISV, you better have a subscription.

You probably will need to uninstall all other CTP/Beta 1 bits before installing this though. BTW: I think go-live license holds good for .NET 2.0 too.

The version indicated in the download page doesn't agree with the indicated in the downloaded file. The page says the version is 2.0.50215.45, when actually the file shows as version 2.0.50215.44
Regards. Just to avoid any misunderstanding.
