Case-senstiveness

I have been reading about the case-sensitiveness issue at Scott Hanselman's Weblog here . Believe me, I have seen my share of this.

Case-sensitivity is such a weird thing. Here is one thing that is totally and completely forced upon humans by computers. I am confident, no human will perceive "hello" being different from "Hello" from "heLLO". So, Why is it that we have such a hard time coding for this? Maybe because, the *nix heads ruined it for the rest of us when they envisioned C. I wonder if Gates had sold BASIC to those guys, I wonder where we would have been. :) Hmm, basic...
