Before you install Expression Web Beta 1, do read the requirements, especially:

What is Microsoft Expression?
Wed, Sep 6 2006 0:51

Expression is the evolution of design and development for applications, interfaces, and/or web content.

There are three Expressions:

  1. Web Designer
  2. Graphic Designer
  3. Interactive Designer

There are loosely analogous to Adobe (Macromedia) Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash.

Currently, Expression is available as a free trial in the form of a Community Technology Preview as the suite continues through the beta process. There should be an update to the beta coming soon.
