Max Characters in Server Name for IMF

Well, I learnt something new today, someone posted a question in the microsoft.public.exchange.admin newsgroup about IMF not working once they had installed it, they had double-checked that they had enabled it on the SMTP Virtual Server (a common oversight).

It would appears that the problem is due to the number of characters in their server name, according to Evan Dodds the name of the IMF/Gateway server should be less than 15 characters, and PSS is working on a Hotfix for the issue.
