Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 SP3 *FINAL RELEASE*

Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (KB2655203) is now available to download.

Support lifecycle statement: This is the final release under standard support for Exchange 2007, as the Exchange 2007 Mainstream Support has now ended. Overview
Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) resolves issues that were found in Exchange Server 2007 SP3 since the software was released. This update rollup is highly recommended for all Exchange Server 2007 SP3 customers.

This update rollup does not apply to Exchange Server 2007 Release To Manufacturing (RTM), Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2).

System requirements
Supported operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 editions, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 3

Exchange Server 2007 SP3 must be installed prior to installing this update rollup.
This update rollup cannot be installed if you are using Exchange Server 2007 RTM, Exchange Server 2007 SP1 or Exchange Server 2007 SP2.
Any Interim Updates for Exchange Server 2007 must be uninstalled prior to installing this update rollup.

 

The Microsoft Exchange Team also announced this update in a recent blog post, with the following note:

Note for Forefront Protection for Exchange users For those of you running Forefront Protection for Exchange, be sure you perform these important steps from the command line in the Forefront directory before and after this rollup's installation process. Without these steps, Exchange services for Information Store and Transport will not start after you apply this update. Before installing the update, disable ForeFront by using this command: fscutility /disable. After installing the update, re-enable ForeFront by running fscutility /enable.
