Windows Live Mail Beta

Microsoft finally released Windows Live Mail Beta. This new version of the e-mail client was expected after the announcement of Windows Live Hotmail.

Windows Live Mail will replace Outlook Express, the Windows Mail that comes with Vista and the now dead Windows Live Mail desktop.

A new graphical interface and better performance are the main arguments to install this new version. I installed it already and, so far, I'm pretty satisfied with it.

For more details, please read the post Windows Live Mail Beta now available for download!

I find it amazing that people continue to use Microsoft software when you have MUCH better alternatives like Firefox and Thunderbird.  The Thuderbird e-mail client is much more feature rich than Live Mail.  It obviously lacks Hotmail interoperability but I'm also amazed that people don't defect to Gmail in droves.  Makes the term "marketing intelligence" sound like an oxymoron.
