Maintenance Nightmare because you have too many connection files to keep track of. What happens if you overwrite one. Plus, you can only keep one copy of the connection file in source safe. It would be better, simpler, and easier to maintain if you're application would "sense" the environment, then select the appropriate environment specific configuration section. This means you only need one configuration file with sections and settings for each environment.

You can pass any attribute to a web control in the Attributes collection:

myTextBox.Attributes["onkeydown"]="enterToTab()";

In fact, you can even put it in the markup and ignore the validation error. Asp.Net passes all arguments that it doesn't recognize to the html output:

<asp:TextBox ... onkeydown="enterToTab()"/>

How do I do this for an asp.net form? I am using asp:TextBox which does not have an "onkeydown" argument.

I put a table inside the page, and it went a little more than the browser's height. In my case, I fixed it removing the margins and reducing a little bit the height percentage:

html,body,table#main

{

height : 98%;

margin-left : 0;

margin-top : 0;

}

Can't remember. Just rename yours and see if it helps. Rename it back if it dosn't.

I have also seen reports on Google toolbar being the culprit.

When you say "quite big" exactly how large was the file? I'm having similar issues. Any recollection on the file size?

Hi Dan,

You don't have to use declarative databinding. Just run your select into a dataset, do whatever you need on the dataset, assign the dataset to the control's DataSource property and call DataBind().

Thats all good with a dataview, but what if the select calls a stored proc that returns 2 or more tables? the dataview only views the first one how would one person get the rest? Thanks in advance
