Gates also said the release of the latest version of the company’s
Internet Explorer browser, expected to coincide with the rollout of the
Windows Vista OS, will better protect users from attacks like phishing
starters, Windows Vista will have Infocards, a system that will let
users better manage their personal identifying information, said Mr.
Gates. Infocards, along with the identity management features of
Windows Vista, could eventually supplant passwords, he said.
