It is true.

Their moderator posted that advise:

"NOTE: This "Toolbar" is being detected by various Anti-virus software as Adware/Malware *THIS IS A FALSE POSTIVE!!!*, There is NO Adware, Spyware etc in this Toolbar WHAT SO EVER. If you are having problems installing the Toolbar, turn off your AV if this is the case."

But they "moved" somewhere the post. It is publicly visible before:

What they have now is: forums.comodo.com/.../comodo_safesurf_toolbar_info-t23708.0.html

Nice if that was true Corrine, but I do not think it has quite got to the stage where we can blame a vendor for the actions of one of their users. Or can we?

Worse, though, is a firewall vendor who suggests the users of their software turn off their anti-virus software.
