Thanks for pointing to the preferences page! That's helpful. I hope you don't mind me requesting to kindly make it the "login and prefs" more visible. I did not notice it and I can imagine some of visitors will not notice it also :)

Thanks for your post.

Our images section is generated using an API from Google. Image recognition is a tough technological challenge, even for a company like Google, and I agree sometimes the images are not appropriate enough.

Having said that, and as we always want to improve our users' experience we now let users to decide whether they would like to see images for synonyms and definitions or not. This is being controlled through our preferences page located at: www.definitions.net/preferences.asp

I hope you'll find it sufficient and helpful.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the new websites we've added to our network: http://www.USZip.com a zip code lookup service that also provides demographic and geographic data, and http://www.references.net which is a unique reference web directory.
