Why I prefer to not to instruct users to search it yourself to find the website of an application?

Dell system and crapware?

One of my co-admin at Calendar of Updates came across to a new Dell computer and he was amazed on pre-installed junks. He found a utility that will help users to clean the unwanted applications in Dell computer in few minutes. See his post here.

I know that many Dell users are seeing unwanted software (others call it as junks, crapware, trialware) but I'm happy to say that my new Dell notebook (duo core) don't have so much junks, crap or trialware by default. Why? I have no idea. Maybe because I didn't purchase the Dell computer in America?

Seriously, the junk applications is not available in a computer purchased at Dell Hong Kong - whether you purchased it via their Home or Small Business section. I posted screenshot of the Add/Remove Programs of my new Dell notebook (see here). I have gripes of course with mobile notebooks.. read it there too.

LANDesk isn't active member of ASC anymore

Looking at the list of Anti-Spyware Coalition members.. one is missing or gone from the list. It's LANDesk. I remember LANDesk joined them last year (between August to September). Don't know why they aren't member of the coalition anymore.

Their newsletter don't have news about them being de-listed but From the desk of Joe Wang published February 2006 , it says LANDesk is an active member of coaliation. So what happened? Just asking...
