13 on 13th - Microsoft Security Bulletins next week
Microsoft is planning to release 13 security bulletins on Oct. 13. Affected products are: Windows, Office, Silverlight, Forefront, IE, Developer Tools and SQL Server.
MSRC wrote in a blog that the 13 security bulletins include 2 of the current security advisory: KB975497 (the popular SMB vulnerability but not getting attention from hackers) and KB975191 (the vulnerability in FTP). Note that those have work-arounds that some of us applied. There is undo "Fix It" solutions that you might want to grab and use before installing the security updates next week.
