False positive by Norton Antivirus on RogueRemover's uninstaller

End-users who has RogueRemover by Malwarebytes.org and Norton Antivirus, please be informed that there is a false positive in yesterday's definition v2007.07.15.002 by NAV. It detects uninst.exe in RogueRemover's directory at Adware.CPush

Yes, I reported to Symantec the false positive after my fellow admin Tim Cormany (aka Hardhead) alerted me on the false positive.  No response yet but work-around is available.

See http://www.dozleng.com/updates/topic15139 for work-around.

# re: False positive by Norton Antivirus on RogueRemover's uninstaller

with the 7/15 defs, there is also a false positive in the Filezilla uninstaller.  They probably use the same uninstaller technology.

The rapid response defs dated 7/16 rev 5 seemed to solve my problem.   I am worried that when I reported the false positive to symantec, their auto response system told me the file was a virus and would be detected in rapid response defs 7/16 rev 17.  Hope they dont reintroduce the false positive.

# Symantec false positives (again)

This time around, the uninstall program for filezilla is apparently Adware.CPush - yeah right. What has happened to Symantec's QA - there have been too many false positives this year. Update It's also detected spiceworks as the same virus too....
