Prediction of "Experts" coming true. Spyware for Firefox!

Last February 2005, Experts predict Firefox spyware will show up this year.  Prediction coming true? Slowly but surely? Confirmation thru a post from one of the said "experts" in Cnet Virus & Security forums entitled FireFox Spyware (Feb. 9, 2005) and the theory in TomCoyote Forums (March 4, 2005).

Methinks the Spyware is already there. If you have a huge number of people coding something without checks and balances in place, there will always be a miscreant in the mix.

It's not Firefox that is the problem, it's the Sun Java Runtime Environment through which is the problem. It's still possible to infect IE using IE itself.

Unfortunately, there's no real solution as the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine is far more flawed than Sun's JRE!
