One of our customers' 2 Windows XP SP2 machines cannot connect to SMS Site Server by SMS Admin Console Suddenly.
I tried all of the solutions from Microsoft and Internet. And i still cannot solve it.
Maybe, I should pass this FAQ to them.><"
"Some customers have reported this issue, but at this time, Microsoft has not been able to reproduce this condition. If you run the SMS Administrator console only from computers that belong to the same domain as the SMS Provider, permitting unsecapp.exe and port TCP 135 to pass through the Windows Firewall should be sufficient. However, some customers have reported that even after permitting these two exceptions, the SMS Administrator console still cannot connect to an SMS site database from the Windows XP SP 2 client, even when both computers are in the same domain."
I just found and tested the most useful solution from Technet Magazine,
It is used for override the Global SMS Remote Tools Setting on some machines or All machines.
In my situation, my customers asked that "Can the SMS remote tool ask for the User Permission before establish the connection? If not, the Administrator can configure the SMS remote tool to "Don't ask for permission" and view and control the user desktop without user permission" .
It is a big concern for the Government and some banks.
Finally, I tested the solution successfully.
