I however, hate it! Here's how you can disable it, and Matt you can add this to your pile of suggestions for the next version of TweakMCE. I know it can

re: Disable Most Recently Used Media In MCE 2005 (Or Add Functionality!)

Any thoughts on doing this in Vista? If you want to maintain your Audio MRU's just don't change those permission and only hit the Video and Picturs. Great tip! I have been looking for this for a couple of months.

re: Disable Most Recently Used Media In MCE 2005 (Or Add Functionality!)

Yeah, well it's nice if you have the luxury of doing this. This, however, is the only way that I can get my music to load in less than one minute.

To try to go through the pathetically slow Album screen is simply unacceptable. So my Media Center experience is resigned to one or two playlists that can only be loaded from the recent memory screens otherwise I'm in Media Center waiting hell.

It's been years of course and still Microsoft does nothing about it despite acknowledging this glarring effort for years.

No wonder my enthusiasm for Media Center is dying.
