This keyboard works ok, except for the TOTALLY WORTHLESS MOUSEPOINTER.
If one of your thoughts is to use this keyboard for mouse navigation: DON'T BUY it. I owned several notebooks with this kind of mouse pointer and allways could live with it. But the one on the MS Media Center keyboard is just NOT working.

actually, it looks like there is a driver for it: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=040. nonetheless very cool i want one for all my pc's now :)

I've been actually suppriesed how well the Media center remote does with recieving every button press no matter which direction I aim the remote.

If the Keyboard works as good as the remote, then I won't be too worried about the keyboard not being RF.

Ideally they should have made both the remote and keyboard rf, that way you could have the PC in a different room and still controll it. But, since the remote and keyboard can use the same reciever it should also help keep costs lower. (Well see about that though.)

Sounds like a good idea with alot of nice features, but I am worried about line of site issues with IR. We will see, I think RF or Bluetooth would have been a good fit.
