I owned several notebooks with this kind of mouse pointer and allways could live with it. But the one on the MS Media Center keyboard is just NOT working.

re: New Media Center Keyboard On The Way

actually, it looks like there is a driver for it: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=040. nonetheless very cool i want one for all my pc's now :)

More MCE Keyboard Info

More info on the new MCE Keyboard, from Chris Lanier.
Additional highlights include “spill-resistant” keyboard (hey, that means it’s livingroom friendly!), a “key lock” feature to keep buttons from being inadvertantly pu...

Surf The Internet From Media Center?

Microsoft's New Media Center Keyboard

Microsoft's New Media Center Keyboard

re: New Media Center Keyboard On The Way

I've been actually suppriesed how well the Media center remote does with recieving every button press no matter which direction I aim the remote.

If the Keyboard works as good as the remote, then I won't be too worried about the keyboard not being RF.

Ideally they should have made both the remote and keyboard rf, that way you could have the PC in a different room and still controll it. But, since the remote and keyboard can use the same reciever it should also help keep costs lower. (Well see about that though.)

Media Center Keyboard Retails For $99.99 At Best Buy

New WMCE specific Microsoft keyboard coming...

re: New Media Center Keyboard On The Way

Sounds like a good idea with alot of nice features, but I am worried about line of site issues with IR.
