[Thanks Mr. Levy for the full WMP update post]

This information was sent out via Microsoft's Download Center RSS Feed (which isn't really MS hosted) a few minutes before it was posted here. Nothing special there, it can be accessed at http://www.thundermain.com/rss/ with any RSS reader. Microsoft also has it so you can sign up to get it in your inbox. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/render.aspx?displaylang=en&content=notifications

Gettng recognized as an MVP can be done a few ways, mine was for posting in the WMP Newsgroups. I know that you post in the Windows Media DRM groups, and that is one of the best ways.

Having said that, being an MVP in the DMD at Microsoft isn't always that great. The Windows Media group doesn't really listen to what any of the MVP's have to say about the product. Suggestions and bug reports are mainly ingorned by the WMP team at least, I never did a whole lot with the DRM guys, but the little I did do they were much more responsive.

Anyway, you can find out more about the MVP program at http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/

re: Update For DRM-Enabled Media Players (KB891122) Wonder Why? ;-)

Dear Christopher Levy

Why did you know that update information ?
Is it a privilege of DigitalMedia MVP ?

I have been sent report about BUGS and SUGGESTIONS about WMRM/WMP/MCE/PMC/RMS and so on ... for a long time.
That included problem about this time(There is possibility of crack on DRM9 architecture).

But I did not get notification about update information .... :'-(

And I have been create and suggest Microsoft many new usage of DRM technology.
For example I developed "SuperDistributionSystem using DRM/RMS on P2P file sharing network" named "NetLeader"
http://netleader.mtf.ntt.ocn.ne.jp/ (sorry japanese only but I prepare english version material )

How can I recognized as MVP ?
I have a WILL to want to be help for MicrosoftTechnology to be more cool.
But I feel all my actions were meaningless .... I could not get any feedback , new technical information , invitation to alpha/beta test .... :'-(

re: Update For DRM-Enabled Media Players (KB891122) Wonder Why? ;-)

Here is the actual new full player:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/download.aspx
