Now I won't get the DRM flags that ONLY occur in a Media Center HTPC. If I didn't go all in on this and buy 4 extenders and a new Dell so I could get cable card support, I would switch back to Sage in 30 seconds.

I checked the updates and found KB955519 (update for Media Center without the TV Pack) available to download and install, but it had not auto-installed. I checked the update log and was please to see that KB956147 (update for TV Pack) had auto-installed. So it looks like update is doing the right thing.

It did it with the previous cumulative Media Center Pack 950126.

It appears that all the files from TV Pack supersede the usual cumulative files.

I think its a Windows Update error, but 950126 and 955519 will still apply if you download and run them manually AFTER installing the TV Pack 2008 + 956147.

Chris do you know ?

Thanks.

I installed the last cumulative update and it caused a black screen to appear after I stopped a video. I had to uninstall the update to resolve the issue. I see no mention in this October update that it fixes this bug, so I am definitely holding off on updating my machine.

I haven't seen this issue in TV Pack, so I'll assume it was already squashed (I hope).
