That didn’t last for too long though. Now Dell has lowered the price to $199 for a single tuner and $379 for

re: Dell Drops Prices on CableCARD Tuners

I ordered an XPS 420 with dual ATI tuners on 4/27. Even with standard ground shipping, the computer itself arrived 3 days later. I too was expecting a ridiculous delay on the tuners, but they arrived just 3 business days after that. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones for a change....

Today I got the CableCard. So I guess there is availability! Still waiting for the computer. The cableCard is the external model.

They split the order and said the system would ship on 4/24 but the tuner wouldn't ship until 6/5. They actually shipped the system yesterday (4/21) and FedEx has it scheduled for delivery today. I was surprised to see today that the tuner actually shipped DHL from another location and is scheduled for delivery on 4/24.

I looked on the Dell site today and the CabelCard tuner is no longer listed as an option. There was a note that said; "The ATI TV Wonder™ Digital Cable Tuners ship seperately from your system. Warrantly provided by ATI."
