Third Party Movie Library Plug-in Mimic’s Niveus Media’s

Last week Niveus Media made available the first beta of their Movie Library plug-in for Media Center.  The only problem?  It only works on Niveus Media PCs.  The solution?  Well, you could buy a Niveus Media PC, or hack the application, or develop your own.

Develop your own seems to be the top candidate right now, and over at the Media Center Sandbox the developer has posted a screenshot of the MCML plug-in.

The UI almost completely mimic’s the Niveus’ Movie Library (which actually mimic's Kaleidescape to a large point).  It looks like it still needs some work, but I know a lot of people are looking for something like this so maybe some of your enterprising developers could assist in the development by participating in the thread at the Sandbox.  The developer does note in the thread that "it's for personal use," so we will have to see if the final even gets a public release.

Nice. I hope Brian Binnerup(sp?) gets cranking on some MCML goodness soon.
