Overall I find little excitement in the Home Server.  There is nothing I can't do today with any XP box.  I can use backup, with mirrored drives to back up anything in the house.  I can use Windows Live to  make it look like a website.  I can point Media Center at it as a place to store TV programs. The only thing I can see of any value in any of these announcements are the digital TV CableCard ready boxes/cards, yet we already knew they were coming.
