My Movies 2.10 Pre-Release with Transcode 360 Integration!

My Movies 2.10 Pre-Release 3 (My Movies Forums) | Brian has released My Movies 2.10 Pre-Release 3!  It includes the much anticipated Transcode 360 integration as-well as better Vista Media Center support.  Pay close attention to the Brian’s forum for updates.

Note: Brian adds "I suggest for the general user to wait for the final version very soon - there can be some issues in these pre-releases."  In other words, don't install this pre-release and except it to be 100% working.  And as always, backup before installing any beta, pre-release, etc software.

AWESOME!  I have been waiting for this for over a year now.  Brian has hit a homerun.  Installed v2.10 PR3 on my MCE05 machine this evening and it works flawlessly--streams my DVD collection using My Movies through my wireless Linksys extender.  The few extra steps to transcode failed the WAF, so I had to convert all of my movies to .wmv format so the wife could click and watch.  That obviously takes a lot of time as well as additional drive space, so I'm glad we've finally got a solution that is friendly to the average user in the family, as well as the guy who has to keep it all running.  Thanks to Brian for making MCE what it should have been from the beginning!

Hi Chris,

I should mention that this is PRE RELEASES, and until final, they can be kind of experimental - like the latest pre-release introduced a Vista installation problem.

There have been a fully new installer created to be able to install on Vista, and these pre-releases is kind of a process to improve and make sure these works.

I suggest for the general user to wait for the final version very soon - there can be some issues in these pre-releases.

Regards,

Brian
