Sony VGP-XL1B2 DVD Changer Drops to $300

Sony VGP-XL1B2 Media Changer (Amazon.com) | Looks like Amazon is pushing out the Sony VGP-XL1B2 DVD Changer.  Price is currently $299.99 after a $100 rebate.  Not a bad deal at all.  However, since I still can’t stream them to an Extender I see no reason to buy one.

However, for $299.99 a lot of ya’ll might want to jump on the deal.  At this point you are looking at prices much cheaper then hard drives.

Also, for new Media Center users this product can be used to batch rip your audio CD’s to your hard drive.  I think it’s worth $299 if you have a collection of 200+ CD’s you need to rip.

Thats been my argument over that feature since day 1.  Nobody is getting the changers because ripping gives them more features with mce.  

also it can bulk burn tv also, you select teh series and it'll make a back to back dvd set for you and the menu screen for what episode is a moving thumbnail.  its great to archive an entire season with a couple clicks and putting in the number of blanks it tells you.
