Intel Barebones HTPC

This was posted on AVSForum today and looks rather cool  It's a barebones system for Intel processors, includes some good spec's already and a might fine looking case.  Price is a bit high at $830.

Intel wants things to move faster in the Consumer Electronics space, so in a bid to set the standard (and make a few bucks), they are now making Entertainment System (hear Media Center PCs) Barebones computers. This one comes with integrated graphics, an Intel motherboard with a 915P chipset, integrated surround sound, wired and wireless network.I think that one could build a Media Center system for less than $819, so I don't think that this is a particular deal. You still have to buy the CPU, RAM and HDD, the expensive components...

# PC Bare-bone le Media Center d’Intel

Intel veut que les choses bougent plus vite dans le monde de l’électronique grand public, aussi en misant sur la création d’un standard (pour en tirer quelques profits), ils font donc maintenant un PC Barebone* Media Center. Celui-ci est livré avec une carte graphique intégrée, une carte-mère Intel avec un chipset 915P, du son 3D intégré, le réseau avec et sans fil. On peut se construire un Media Center pour moins de $819, donc je ne trouve pas que ceci soit particulièrement une bonne affaire, d’autant que vous devez encore acheter le CPU, la RAM et le disque dur… Les composants qui coûtent cher…

Pour les non-geek ou aprentis-geek: une Barebone est un boîtier PC livré seulement avec la carte mère sans CPU ni autres composants
