Microsoft Removing Java From Applications
While not commenting directly on Microsoft's proposed changes to their application line up, Sun did note that Microsoft users can download the most recent and compatible version of Java so they can have the high performance Java Computing experience on their desktop. Distribution Agreements - Source and binary redistribution licenses. Industry leading PC vendors such as Apple, DELL, Gateway, HP,Samsung, Toshiba, and Tsinghua Tongfang intend to ship a current version of Java installed on their computers to provide a richer consumer experience. Sun has reached deals with companies representing approximately 50% of the world wide shipping volume of PCs.
