I just found another resolution, which fixed my problem:

support.microsoft.com/.../896861

Follow method 1 and enter the FQDN from where you access RWW. Works like a charm now.

I folowed your procedure step-by-step, but unfortunatily it is not working. Not even after a reboot.

SBS 2008 Standard here, fully patched via WSUS. I implemented the changes you outlined here to no avail. The 2436 event was still occurring every 5 minutes.

What solved it for me was adding this registry value:

[HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]

"DisableLoopbackCheck"=dword:00000001

Which I found via a comment someone posted to the 2436 posting at eventid.net.

Hope it helps others who find this blog.

FYI - we have confirmed that these steps work on multiple SBS 2008 boxes - but not all. I'm going to see if I can determine what is different on the boxes where it isn't working - but as of right now, I don't know.

I made the changes and am still getting the 2436 warnings.
