Google Chrome Exploit - Auto Download
Ok, it's now blatantly obvious that Google Chrome was released in a rushed, incomplete (even for Beta releases) and faulty state.
An Auto-Download (extremely simply executed at that) exploit was found and has been published.
We're talking about an .exe file being downloaded automatically to a user's system. Uhmmm.
Ok, Google has been known to be pushing the envelope when it comes to technology. They're "supposedly" the big beast for Microsoft to beat and they've now entered the Browser War.
Does MSFT have anything to fear from this release? IMHO, no, nothing at all. Chrome is still yonks from being a viable contender to both FireFox and Internet Explorer.
Obviously Google was rushed to release this beta - but my faith in ever picking it up is dwindling by the minute as i'm trawling newsgroups, mailing lists etc for more news.
Google, it doesn't look good guys..
