&lt;p&gt;These are work machines, not &amp;quot;email readers&amp;quot;, and no it's not 10X needed for office work. &amp;nbsp;They are investments to be used in the office for the next several years.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Dell Opti 755&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Vista Business&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;E6550&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;250GB HD (for whatever freaking reason)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;$724 ($699 if we go to a reasonable 80 GB HD)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Added 4GB PC8000 Ram &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;$90&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Added DVD Burner &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;$25&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Video card was hard to match: $150&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Floppy &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;$8&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So a quad monitor, 10x what&amp;#39;s needed for office work I spent $997 including the OS. Still waiting for why it cost over a grand for an office PC.&lt;/p&gt;
