&lt;p&gt;Makes AVG even a better option, since their consumer, personal use version is free. I do like Kaspersky as well, but noticed more overhead last time I&amp;#39;ve used it. No experience with NOD32, but have heard good things about it from other techs.&lt;/p&gt;

It&amp;#39;s much lighter than Norton or Trend, has the standard corporate features (grabs settings from a central check-in server, pulls updates from a central server, etc). Plus the scans and updates can be relatively easily called from command-line, which makes scripting installs, scans or updates much less of a chore. Built-in remote push install to a network is a bonus too.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I use NOD32 at home precisely because it isn&amp;#39;t part of a &amp;quot;security suite&amp;quot; and has proven to have minimal to no impact on my system&amp;#39;s performance and stability. I&amp;#39;m running it along side the Windows Vista firewall with no complaints from me or the software.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Very compeitive pricing too for 3 yrs updates.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Bestthing is servers are counted the same as PC&amp;#39;s for licencing costs.&lt;/p&gt;
