Just flew on Sunday, and they say that hard lip stuff (lipstick, carmex, chapstick, etc) is ok for carry-on. One tube...

FYI. You should be ok in flying up to SMB Nation...

The things I do in order to get along to SMB Nation - still the exchange rate is good so I suppose I'll have to drag myself down to the shops in Seattle... sigh... :)

har har, you're right, I can't associate with lip anything, but I can guarantee the rubbish they're banning isn't going to help at all.

It could, if the terrorist so wanted, be remotely detonated in the luggage hold (have you seen how small these things can get now? - some of the Japanese one's have been known to be smaller than your average shirt button!).

So unless they're running that through some magic detection thingy aswell, it's a complete waste of time - but bloody hillarious to watch when they mention it on the BBC ....
