So something I hear from folks is the complaint that WSUS ... and therefore R2... downloads EVERYTHING for the categories that it syncs... and it doesn't. It only downloads those patches AFTER they are approved. You don't approve, they don't...

I didn't get a blue check. I downloaded WSUS 3.0 on top of a beta test box of SBS 2003 R2 and I didn't get a blue check. Interestingly enough it didn't break as much as I thought it would. I still got the daily integrated email. I'm not sure if the 'approval...

Can Windows Update/MS Update be used for SBS server? All the patches say Windows Server 2003, not "SBS 2003". I'm hesitant... Dear hesitant.. keep in mind that SBS 2003 is merely Windows..and Exchange..and Sharepoint...etc..etc so all you need to do ...

Service pack 1 has been released.. This document describes known issues affecting Windows Server Update Services Service Pack 1 (WSUS SP1) The good news is that this allows WSUS to be installed on SQL 2005 and that includes workgroup edition.
