Just some things to keep in mind....
Antivirus is reactionary - someone has to get it first. Just today I got a zip file in my purposely spammed non business email and sent it to virustotal.com and it was only seen as being a virus by 5 out of 48 vendors.
There are apparently two infection vectors - one is the open the file and click the zip file - the other is that they are coming in through unpatched java vector.
It does not need admin rights to launch these attacks. So if you think you are sitting pretty by not having admin rights, that's wonderful but may not help in this instance.
Make sure you know where key data is and back it up.
