Sometimes I'm a tad clueless

I had no idea that in the HyperV manager that there was a task item up there that allowed you to paste stuff from your local pc across an rdp window to the HyperV manager running computer.

 

See that type clipboard text?

You can copy and paste from your local PC and then hit that command.  Okay so maybe I can copy and paste a powershell command over a rdp window to a HyperV machine after all..

Yes but why Ctrl+V doesn't work remains a mystery.  It even lists it in the menu!

I don't understand why I even have to do it that way. It's overly complicated and I would expect that the Hyper-V Connection would handle Copy&Paste it automatically.

Just so you know. Don't even try to copy text from the Guest into your local clipboard. It won't work. By design.
