Finding a new recipe

We have a family ice cream recipe that we've used for years.  But recently I bought a new Cuisinart Ice Cream maker.  It's better for our pipes as we won't be dumping salt down the drain as we currently use an old fashioned ice cream maker with ice and salt.  But with anything new I've had to do some test runs of ice cream to see if I could recreate what I did with my traditional maker and now do with the new ice cream maker.

What does this have to do with technology you ask?  We're all going to be doing something new in the coming years.  From cloud solutions to on premise solutions we'll be fiddling with our recipes to come up with various solutions.  And just like cooks don't work all by themselves, make sure you join a community or a forum or a local partner group or a venue and ask questions.  See what others are cooking up.  Compare recipes and solutions.

It's too bad you don't live up here.  Kawartha Dairy ice cream is the best, and it puts those overpriced, and over-hyped half-size carton vendors to shame (Haagen Dazs, Ben & Jerry's, etc.).

Their Raspberry Ripple is to die for, and my personal favourite is Peanut Butter & Chocolate.  They make other, more complicated flavours too, but I hate nuts and other crunchy things in my ice cream, and they've perfected all of the simpler recipes - something that these other companies have never gotten right (have you ever tasted Haagen Dazs regular Vanilla?  It tastes like regurgitated sweat!)
