"Then SBS 2011 Essentials will be a no-brainer for new small businesses"

"Its weak point is that Office 365 and cloud-based email, contacts, calendar, and document management, are nowhere to be seen. Microsoft says those will ship in late 2011. Then SBS 2011 Essentials will be a no-brainer for new small businesses. "

...and as my Windows explorer is not responding a bit as I'm dragging SharePoint files around on the Office 365 Sharepoint, I'd say "it's a no-brainer for small businesses with a better Internet speed than 1.5 DSL connection"

One still needs a brain in selecting services in the cloud and one of the key brain decisions is having to do with the Internet connection.  Speed and whether you are on a metered connection cannot be overlooked.  But for those looking for some sort of idea when that office 365 plug in will shake out, Thurrott at least gives a hint.

We're using it for the SMBMVPtour shared files platform as a way to learn it.  I signed up using the Cloud Essentials offering.
