Keep in mind here that if all you do is run the pconfig command that will not mangle the bindings (as we've seen happen in following some earlier blog posts and KBs)
I still would strongly suggest that when you patch for this one, you do SharePoint all by itself. It may be a bit a bit old wives tale, my superstition, but when I've done it all by itself I've never had issues.
