If you missed the SMBITPro backup and disaster event
SMBITPro - Windows Live:
For those that missed http://www.smbitpro.com.au/agenda/ I posted up the slide deck but IMHO it doesn't do the content justice.
I was asked what tool that I used to wipe harddrives to ensure that they don't have sensitive data and I said that I used a hammer. The price tag of hard drives is so cheap that it's not worth the risk of donating computers. It's cheaper from a risk perspectfive to destroy the hard drive and to replace it with a new disk.
Tony emailed that I might want to try http://www.wiebetech.com/products/Drive_eRazer.php rather than a hammer all the time.
