I have exciting news tonight! My VLSC log in experience has changed!

I have exciting news tonight!  My VLSC log in experience has changed!

No longer do I log into my passport account that I used to use for the eopen site and get a message that I'm locked out for security reasons and to contact support.  Now I can't log out of passport, nor can I log in.  It's in this endless loop of being unable to go anywhere but looping back to those annoyingly chipper pictures of people that are on the VLSC web site.

So just for grins, I decided to log into the VLSC web site using firefox.

Ah, my faith is restored.  Once again after logging in using firefox it tells me that I have entered incorrect information and have been locked out of registration as a security measure.

Good to know they are still keeping riff raff like me out.

I've seen you complain about this alot since the switch and I have to admit I haven't read every word, but you have called tech support right?

Normally with issues like this my experience has been that they can fix it while on the phone. (Especially after this amount of time)

I can understand having issues when it first switched and having to be patient, but I figure by now it's worth putting some foot up a representatives you know what.

I have called four times.  I have been on hold for longer than an hour on two of those calls.  I  have also emailed into support.

After I sent them the information via email the last time around, I called on the phone a day later to see if there had been any progress.  Initially again they said they needed more info, then corrected and said they had all the information.

They are not able to fix it over the phone.  Putting a foot up a representative doesn't work.  It's a guy in a call center who's fault it wasn't anyway, so being rude and obnoxious to him isn't fair either.

But yes, those of us impacted have called.  It doesn't help.

The business email per my reseller is sbradcpa@pacbell.net.  I've tried logging in with that as a LiveID as well.  It still doesn't let me in.

I'm learning about this frustrating process and I'm not hapy. I did our first ever VL. It was for 10 copies of Windows 7 Pro. Both Dell and another vendor told me Windows 7 Pro with SA is the same thing as Windows 7 Enterprise Edition. Wrong.

Not that it matters as I can't get into VLSC. I've called 4 times. Got the wait 24-48-72-96 hours talk and still nothing. I'm going to call Dell and return it. Should have bought retail upgrades. In fact the cost would have been cheaper.

I hate software licensing, both Oracle and Microsoft make it difficult for legit users to buy their software. I feel like it is, "How much you got?" vs. what can I help you with.

My liveID account was hijacked by my nephew so he could take the parental controls off his laptop. All done with the help of our wonderful tech support staff at Microsoft. Even though he only answered one of 4 questions right, they reset EVERYTHING on the account, and never sent me so much as a notification to my alternate email...

So all my licenses, Connect settings, etc. stopped working for me for a period of about two weeks. It seems nobody is imune to phishing...

Got in for the first time at work as well today, alas only the one license we just ordered is in. All other agreements as AWOL. There has to be more going on here as I find it odd that a big slug of exisiting users suddenly all get access on the same day.

Book rights, movie deals anyone? Would be nice if MS would just fess up here.

Could the fact that I'm using IE6 have anything to do with this problem?
