And already in the partner group is the question "how do I get my classic menu back"...

... uh.. you don't...

I understand that you want the XP classic start menu in Windows 7. Yes,  as Johnny said, Classic Start Menu has been removed in Windows 7 because shell has been fully new designed in Windows 7. However, we can use a third party tool called CSMenu to achieve your goal.

The more I use the new menu system, the more I like it.

The only problem is sometimes supersearch bogs down and you have to wait forever for the programs menu to populate. That's not cool.
