Quite a few months ago I ran into an issue with ShadowProtect on SBS 2008.  Long and the short of it is there is an issue in the Exchange vss writer that was fixed in Update Rollup 9.

Wow.  Some of these bugs are showstoppers/seem like a beta product.  I'm glad I avoided Exchange 2007.

Exchange 2007 overall is a very nice product. Haven't had a lot of issues with it as long as it is deployed properly.

This though does make me understand some of the backup issues I've experienced with it.
