Now certain folks will say I'm not normal, but when working with Win7 every time I would do something administratively it would bother me when not seeing the UAC prompt.  So if you are the abnormal person like I am, go into Windows 7 settings and go pull up your pants and stop showing that butt crack.

I really do not believ you got the correct picture here, UAC is a helpfull tool which will help illiterate computer users to be warned when something happens on their system which is intrusive like installing an application for instance.

Did you ever check out the reliability and performance msc, and do you truly understand how this system is performuing and why when in doubt how to adjust, solve , cure problems when systems show signs of intrusion, bad drivers, or otherwise?

UAC just helps the non domain user to stay in charge of their own system, that's it.

You make the assumption that 1] all users are idiots and 2] they use software picked up from sites with names like 'Malware R US', and 3] have no clue about any of the processes that occur on their computers. For those, MS should release Windows 7 Beginner Edition, for the rest of us, we should have the freedom to do as we wish, without the changes used in Vista and 7 to 'protect us from ourselves'.

Remember, when Microsoft makes Windows idiot-proof, only idiots will want to use it.
