So where are the log files for the connect wizard on SBS 2008?

Under C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Logs is where.

Not really. Log files shouldn't be located under the "Program Files" folder. It's as bad as programs assuming they have write access to the WINDOWS folder.

It would be really nice to see a system/boot partition (depending in which terminology you're used to) that could be locked read-only, and enabled for writes only for the duration of patching or planned software addition.

Think of all the malware that could never happen if C: was locked read-only for normal use.

Maybe that's just my UNIX background expecting too much from a Windows system...
