Access to the Partner Managed Newsgroups via NNTP

So what about NNTP access to the Partner managed newsgroups?

Same sort of thing, start by going to the landing place for the newsgroups

https://partner.microsoft.com/global/40014662

From there you can launch into a community and click on the NNTP account setup page.

NNTP Account Setup
  1. After signing in and typing the secure code for the Online Technical Community you want to enter, you will be provided a link to set up your individual NNTP account. If you have already created an individual NNTP account, you will be routed directly to the community site after you click the Finish button.
  2. If you have not previously configured an NNTP user account, you can create one in the NNTP Account Setup window to access the communities through a client such as Microsoft Office Outlook Express. If you are not using a client such as Windows Mail or Outlook Express to access the communities, click Cancel to skip these steps.

    To create an account:
    • In the newsreader of your choice, select to create a new News account.
    • Enter the name of the News Server: privatenews.microsoft.com.
    • Type the full NNTP user name of your choice, in the format PrivateNews\<User Name>.
    • When you close the NNTP Account Setup window, you will receive the message Successfully Added! and a Finish button.
    • If you choose to, you can review your user name or reset your NNTP password.
  3. Click Finish, and the requested site will load.
  4. On your next visit to the Microsoft Partner Program website, you will be prompted only for your Windows Live ID credentials (if needed).
In my case I've already set up the account so if I need to set it up on another computer I click to remind myself of what the password is.
