Buy her a bigger purse

http://uksbsguy.com/forums/p/2096/6544.aspx

I got one question about backup... Strong beliver of tapes but now not supporting what is the poor PA meant to do now when the external HDD do not fit in her handbag.

Seriously though, apart from now having to buy 3rd party, what was Microsoft thinking about transporting backup media offsite, external HDD are very delicate if dropped."

One word.  Or rather one link...

Okay so maybe 2...

If a gal can't fit THAT into her purse... buy her a bigger one.

Native tape is dead in 2k8.  Folks, either deal with it, plan on backupassist and get over it.  It is what it is and no amount of "tape is better" arguing will change this.  I have never "dropped a drive" enough to lose data.

If you ask your clients, ask them if they even like rotating tapes at all and if the answer is no, check out www.efolder.net as well.

A few years ago we NEVER thought the native backup was good enough...so it's funny how things change.

P.S.... the backup support only for harddrives is a Windows Server 2008 requirement.  This isn't unique to SBS.
