XP sp3, RWW and Active X messages

...so you need to set up Remote Web Workplace's active X add on and it's disabled right?

First thing you'll notice is that you get this warning message.  What you need to do then is click on that gearbox icon in the bottom

This then will bring up the add in browser section in IE where you can enable the TS active X

Click on the Terminal Server ActiveX and enable it.  Once you do then RWW will work.

Be prepared for questions on this though... you'll get a yellow warning window that folks will need to click through from now on...

..yeah.. lovely huh?

I've always found it interesting that Microsoft still has not come up with a way to handle these certificate issues easier for RWW. It always makes me laugh when Microsoft products don't recognize each other.

on a clean install with xp pro sp3 slipstreamed, I can not get RWW to work. The option to enable TS active X is not listed on the manage add-on window.  It seems active X component never got downloaded in the first place.

What do I do if the TS active x control is not listed?

Same for me, I've just deployed XP Pro SP3 slipstreamed, the control is not present, nor do I know how to manually install it.  Please help!

Thanks!!

Is there a fix for an SP3 slipstreamed XP install on this issue?  I'd hate to have to rebuild the PC and installing XP SP3 just so I can join it to the domain.

Any ideas?

The solution with Slipstreamed installs is to reset IE7. Learned this the hard way.
