What about the cloud?

Have you seen/heard about the new item from Microsoft called "Mesh"?

So ... how do you think this will fit with your clients?

Google, Salesforce, etc own the cloud. Mature solutions with direction.

Everything Microsoft has released in the cloud so far has struggled to get out of 1.0 version, even their mee-too-Flash is shameful.

I think with years of failures with bCentral, MSN, Live and so on none of their business stuff can be taken seriously. Cool, yes. Neat, you bet. Reliable, scalable, proven? Not a chance in hell.

The first product they pushed from their stable into the cloud is CRM for gods sake, business framework that virtually nobody uses. If that doesn't certify them as "playing" then I don't know what will.

Vlad. Google's just a spammer in sheep's clothing but Salesforce.com is the real deal.

Microsoft should really spend their dough buying salesforce.com instead of Yahoo!
